Appointment Policy
Fresno Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center is a referral only practice providing specialized veterinary care for companion animals. Our specialists accept appointments during the week, usually Monday through Friday.
Emergency Policy
During the nights, weekends and holidays, we see emergency patients and care for them until they can be transferred safely back to the family veterinarian. During the daylight hours of the weekdays (when most veterinarians are open), we will see pet's that have an emergency situation. If we determine that there is no severe threat to the patient, we will call your veterinarian to see if we can transfer the patient directly at that time. If there is any reason the family veterinarian cannot see the pet at that time, we will consider the patient as a referral and will provide primary care.
For Your Pet's Safety
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. We are on a busy street and if a cat or dog becomes frightened, it may get access to Blackstone Avenue where it could get injured. These are some of the reasons we ask you to keep your pet on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and cash. We also use the services of CareCredit for clients who are approved for financial assistance. Chase Health Advance is also available for those that qualify.
